Acton, MA — A group of 30 adult students and friends of French in Acton, the French language school in Acton, commemorated Bastille Day together on July 13 at Bondir Concord.
These French students and Francophiles, led by Cynthia Edelman, Ève Fischer, and Virginie Faas of French in Acton, celebrated the French national holiday with a French-themed 3-course meal, prepared by Jason Bond, Chef at Bondir Concord.
Jeanie Furlan, of Acton, kicked off the evening festivities with a vocal performance of Les Feuilles Mortes and La Vie en Rose, two French classics. The evening ended with everyone joining in the singing of La Marseillaise, the French national anthem.
Though many of the participants came from Acton, Boxborough, and Concord, the towns of Leominster, Bedford, Sudbury, Framingham, Stow, and Wayland were well represented as well.
